Teaching Philosophy

I believe in creating an environment where all children can feel safe and loved. To the best of my ability I will ensure that programs for young children are based on current knowledge of child development. That developmentally appropriate experiences are planned in a way that help children to grow by developing the whole child.
I believe that children are entitled to opportunities to develop fully. I believe that all children have differences and unique capabilities and children with disabilities are capable of learing and thriving. I believe that all children deserve to be respected.
I believe in helping children achieve their full potential by teaching them how to communicate appropriate behaviors, develop good self-esteem and self-help skills, to encourage friendships and most of all to have fun. I believe in being an advocate for children and their families, being open to different points of view and taking suggestions by others.
I especially appreciate childhood as a unique and valuable stage of human life cycle, respecting the dignity and uniqueness of the child and family. I support and respect families in their task of nuturing children, while also appreciating the close ties between the child and family.
